Embrace Compassionate Present Practice

Embrace Compassionate Present Practice

It is your personality differences that make you beautiful and divine. If you were just happy, happiness would have no meaning. Catch your breath, and then, on the exhalation, release that thought and return to the body. Take a look around to see where we have landed on this planet. Accept everything as it is in this moment, and breathe again.

Skeptics of yoga often fail to recognize that skepticism about mystical things that defy logical explanation can be valid. However, just because we can’t explain the nature of consciousness or where it came from, or how to quantize gravity, does not mean we are ignorant. Humans are intelligent. If you have skepticism about what someone is teaching, ask yourself first if it is compassionate and if it will cause any harm. If it could cause harm, examine it further. If it seems to do more good than harm, it might be necessary in that moment.

For example, consider chanting, lighting candles, meditating, and playing gentle music to relax the mind. If you find these practices lacking in compassion, ask yourself why. Is it possible that you never really achieve relaxation and are in a hyper-vigilant state? This means you are living in the realm of the mind and need to catch up to the great knowledge of the world, which would take a thousand lifetimes. Instead of mocking old sciences, people with great knowledge should study them, put theories behind them, and try to quantify them so that we can understand the nature of reality and consciousness. Understanding the nature of the mind and body reveals that the value of physical exercises is to help you return to your breath and find relaxation during stress. In a relaxed state, you have the best opportunity to elevate to your highest intelligence.

Creating an anxious state leads to more anxiety. If we create millions of dollars, buy a beautiful car, and take care of it, we may feel isolated and lonely, finding it hard to connect with people who don’t love us for our possessions. It is challenging to connect with people just for being yourself. You don’t have to get rid of everything to become enlightened. In this generation, we can multitask and bring ourselves to our highest consciousness. We can behave as intelligent, compassionate beings that don’t destroy things. When we see others destroying things, we work to create peace, elevating our own individual consciousness and talking about it openly. It is time for people to teach each other how to heal from childhood oppressions and traumas, recognizing that this pain has existed for generations.

The dynamic between a physical trainer and their student should start with focusing on the strength of the body and carving a beautiful physique. Once the student is hooked on the training method, the next lesson is to breathe deeply and slow down the heart rate. Stay calm through the anxiety of movement and the pain of stressing the muscles. Focus on your thoughts, stop getting distracted by the past or future, and stay present.

At this moment, it is not time to think about how an airplane flies. Now is the time to move your body, strengthen it, and be grateful. Breathe deeply. This practice helps command the lowest thoughts to dissipate, touch your deepest pains gently, and let them go. Stand in the present moment, feel the cool breeze, sweat dripping down your forehead, take a breath, and hear the silence for a moment. This is what yoga practices aim to teach, but it comes off as genuine only if the teacher embodies the practice. It is correct to walk away from someone teaching something they haven’t learned themselves. No one has to be a master to teach this; they just need to be in practice, demonstrating humility and compassion.
